This is a Wallace Baroque pattern Footed Silver Plate Waste Bowl, marked 285, in excellent condition. As the photos show, it shines beautifully with little to no tarnish - and this is the way we got it. We did not have to polish it or buff it, which shows it received excellent care from the previous owner. It measures 4 inches tall, 3.75 inches across at the top, and approximately 4 inches in diameter at the widest of the bowl. There are no monograms and no evidence that I can find of any removal of monograms, repairs or alterations. The four legs and feet are well attached, firm with no wiggle or wobble. Some who have checked out this piece have said that the interior of the bowl appears to have a gold wash as it seems to be more gold in color on the inside rather than the bright silver you see on the outside, but I am not an expert on that, I am just relaying what I have been told. The only flaw (and it is so minor, but I wanted to be sure to mention it) is that one of the felt circles on the bottom of one of the feet is missing, as you can see in one of the pictures, but that can be easily fixed, but unfortunately there is no place in our town to purchase them.
It will be well packaged with padding, insurance and tracking.
