This book/book lot came from the library of Dr. Sidney Jones, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He was a prolific reader and researcher. He passed away many years ago and his library sat untouched until recently.  These books have been used, extensively. Dr. Jones had a habit of underlining passages and writing notes in the margins. This is not excessive. He also wrote his name inside the front cover or used a personalized library stamp inside the front cover or on the title page.

The book/books are not dirty. I used a gently cleaner to wipe down the outside cover. I dusted all along the outside edges of the books, as well. There is no musty odor. There is considerable discoloration (foxing) of the covers &/or the pages due to oxidation of the iron in the paper. This is a result of the humidity in Florida.
