JUDITH LIGHT - AUTOGRAPHED INSCRIBED PHOTOGRAPH - HFSID 185043
JUDITH LIGHT
The actress signs her name with "All my best" on this black and white headshot, shown wearing a large knit sweater and jewel earrings
Inscribed photograph signed: "Frank/All my best/Judith/Light", in black felt tip, B/w 8x10 . Actress Judith Light (b. 1949) is best known for her role as Angela Bower on Who's The Boss? (1984-1992), but daytime soap fans remember her for her role as Karen Wolek on One Life to Live (1977-1983). Not only did Light win two Emmy Awards, two Soapy Awards and a Soap Opera Hall of Fame Award for her portrayal of Wolek, but one of her performances, from the episode "Karen Wolek on the Stand", was so powerful that it is often used as a model in acting classes - and was recently recognized by "TV Guide" as one of the "100 Most Memorable Moments on Television". Light gave another powerful performance in the made-for-TV docudrama, The Ryan White Story (1988), and was awarded the Helen Hayes Award in Washington, D.C. and the Elliot Norton Award in Boston for her performance in the off-Broadway play, Wit (Light shaved her head completely to star as Vivian Bearing, a literary academic dying of ovarian cancer). Light has also appeared in the short-lived TV series, The Simple Life (1998), had a recurring role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2002-2003) and has guest starred on several TV shows, from Kojak (1977) to The Tony Danza Show (2004). She has been married to actor Robert Desiderio, whom she met on the set of One Life to Live, since 1985. Fine condition.
