By retrieving the Prop Pepper at the speed just enough to keep the prop rotating you can maximize its performance. Developed using the prop technology PAT. of topwater manufacturer Hiyoko brand the 0.8mm thick stainless steel prop is designed to have resistance when it starts to rotate due to its weight. This resistance to rotation creates random water currents and vibrations making it a lure that is less likely to be remembered by bass and less likely to become wary. By making the holes in the prop square it comes into contact with the cup washer and eyelet when rotating generating a unique clicking sound and vibrations. The tail hook has been removed so as not to hinder the rotation of the rear prop enhancing the basic performance of this swisher where the rotation of the prop is crucial. By reducing the buoyancy of the entire body the lure is sucked into the mouth of the bass and the number of missed bites is greatly reduced. It is effective as a topwater lure to entice bites when bass are aware of the water surface but are not responding to flashy actions or fast retrieves or when baitfish are seen near the surface. In bad weather the clicking sound and vibrations created by the propeller in the water will attract fish. It can also be used like a regular swisher by adding a jerking action. *This lure is designed so that the front and rear propellers rotate in different directions. If it swims at an angle try making minor adjustments to the line eye or propellers.
