Featuring the revolutionary work of Robert Crumb, Zap #1 marks the beginning of the underground comix movement and remains one of the most important and sought-after counterculture comics of the era.

This Don Donahue edition is the scarce early second printing, an essential piece for collectors of Robert Crumb, San Francisco counterculture, underground publications, and 1960s pop-culture history. Early Zap printings are especially desirable because they were cheaply produced, widely handled, and seldom preserved in high grade. 

This particular issue features characters such as Mr. Natural, ZAP, and Flakey Foont in a black-and-white style typical of US Comics during the Silver Age. Published by Apex Novelties, this collectible comic book series is written in English.

The condition is good to very good, especially for its age. No missing pages or personalizations, but some cosmetic imperfections. There is a split at the top of the spine and a few creases on the cover. Inside content is legible and well-contained, with little to no ink damage, only yellowed pages from age and light use.
