This is an OEM GM timing cover for Small Block Chevy engines. This particular cover is for the larger 8 inch harmonic balancer and was used on applications like the L79 327/350HP, 327/340HP, 327/365HP and fuel injection engines in Corvettes, Chevelle, Nova, and fullsize models. This same style may have also been used on 1967-1968 Camaro Z/28 models.  I believe this style cover with the larger "AOR" style timing tab was last used in the 1968 model year. In 1969, passenger cars with the exception of Corvette switched to the long style water pump and the timing tab changed at the same time.  Please confirm your specific application. 

This is a very nice original GM high performance timing cover.  It looks very nice overall. At some point in its life, this cover was chrome plated. It looks awesome as is or could be restored as a factory painted cover.  This cover would be great as is on a Day 2 type car or hot rod. It will restore to a very high level. Don't miss it!
