Vintage Pleated Black Silk Crepe Chiffon Lace Trim Drop Waist Shift Dress

This vintage pleated black silk crepe chiffon lace trim drop waist shift dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black sheer silk crepe chiffon fabric with pleated details on the top and black lace trim inserts on the sleeves, bottom skirt. This beautiful black dress has a loose fitting straight shift style with sheer lace short sleeves, lace trimmed skirt bottom, a pleated rounded back flap collar capelet, side snap closures and a sheer silk slip sewn inside. The dress measures 42 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 36 inch waist, 36 inch hips and 15 inch back. It is in good as-is condition, with some small frayed splits on the shoulders, neckline and on one lace sleeve (see close-ups). Great for upcycling. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
