Edwardian Valenciennes Bobbin Lace Layered Ruffle White Wedding Petticoat Skirt
This antique Edwardian era Valenciennes bobbin lace layered ruffle white wedding petticoat skirt dates from 1910. It is made of a white batiste cotton fabric, with whitework embroidery, Valenciennes bobbin lace decorative design details along the bottom. This lovely lace lingerie underpinnings petticoat bridal wedding skirt has a long floor length full layered, back train style with a double layered ruffle flounce lace trimmed bottom hemline, blue ribbon woven around, an adjustable drawstring waistband with mother of pearl button closure on the back and is unlined. The petticoat measures 38 inches long in the front, 42 inches long in the back, with a 28 inch waist and 52 inch hips. It is in good recently cleaned condition, with a few faint rust stains, tiny pin holes around the top waist area and several small mended repairs on the back (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique lingerie underpinnings bridal wedding wearable art!
