This is a Seiko Kinetic six jewel automatic watch works. There is no apparent outward damage to the watch, so it may be a problem with the electronics that are preventing normal operations. 

If you are collector of vintage wrist watches, and you enjoy doing restorations and repairs, this could be your next project. When it is up and running it will be a very nice addition to your collection.
