Original vintage Corgi Toys Constructor Set GS/24, based around the Commer ¾ Ton Chassis and interchangeable vehicle bodies.
A particularly interesting early Corgi Gift/Constructor Set, allowing the chassis to be converted into several different commercial vehicles using the interchangeable bodies and accessories supplied.
The set includes the two Commer chassis units shown, together with a selection of interchangeable bodies and accessories, including:
The interchangeable body system allows a variety of different Commer configurations to be created, including van, pick-up, ambulance and milk delivery vehicles.
A genuine vintage set in used/playworn condition.
The diecast vehicles and bodies show varying degrees of age-related paint wear, small chips, marks and scratches. The accessories have also been played with.
The original polystyrene insert is present but shows considerable age-related wear, discolouration, cracking and areas of loss/damage.
The original illustrated box is heavily worn, with staining, rubbing, creasing, tears, edge/corner wear and general deterioration. Despite this, the artwork and GS/24 Constructor Set identification remain clearly visible and the box is an important surviving part of the set.
Please study all photographs carefully. Everything included in the sale is shown in the photographs; I have not described the set as complete as some smaller original components/accessories may be absent.
A scarce and highly displayable survivor from the golden age of British Corgi Toys, and a great addition to a collection of vintage Corgi, Commer, commercial vehicles or early diecast gift sets.
