Beautiful 1900s Australian Art Nouveau 9ct Gold Aquamarine Tulip Pendant Necklace

This is a wonderful art nouveau choker length pendant necklace for a petite lady or girl. It has a hard to read mark of Australian pictorial “9ct” mark for 375 rose gold fineness. We estimate that it was made around the late 1890s through the early 1900s.

It is made up of two lengths of fine cable link chain with a tongue and slot barrel clasp.  The chains attach to two bales at the top of a central open work pendant with scrolls fashioned to resemble a tulip flower. This is set with a small seed pearl at is centre and three round facet cut pale aquamarines in round claw settings on stalks at the top of the petals. Suspended, below on a bar, is a matching aquamarine with a slightly paler, near clear, tone.
