Royal Talens Van Gogh oil pastels are excellent for getting started with oil pastels. It is regarded as studio and artist range too. This set offers all their range of colours (60), and also contains a blender stick too. The colours are very rich in pigments, they hold excellent colour strenght, easy to blend. The advantage of this brand is they sell the pastel sticks as open stock.
This set is coming from my studio, which I'm clearing out. It is used as the photographs show but it holds up a lot to create any artwork.
