The 00 Series was created to bridge the gap between student and professional trombones. Designed by Michael Rath but manufactured overseas to keep costs down, these instruments retain key Rath features and quality materials. The lineup includes:
R100 (.500" bore) – Lightweight and agile
R300 (.525" bore) – Balanced for versatility
R400 (.547" bore) – A classic, well made large bore trombone
R900 (.562" bore) – Bass trombone with independent valves
Priced similarly to the R400, the R300 offers a slightly more compact sound while maintaining the series' reputation for playability. While not handcrafted like Rath's UK-made custom models, the 00 Series delivers solid performance for the price.
