Rare antique Victorian centre-seconds chronograph pocket watch movement with original white enamel dial, dating to approximately c.1880–1890.

The dial features bold black Roman numerals with the distinctive outer 25–300 chronograph scale, together with gold-coloured hour and minute hands and a long centre seconds/timing hand.

The gilt mechanical movement has a large balance, F/S fast-slow regulator, jewelled bearing and an unusual internal chronograph/timing mechanism visible between the plates.

This appears to be an unsigned British-market centre-seconds chronograph movement, of the type produced during the late 19th century. Similar examples are often described as “Improved Chronograph” or centre-seconds chronograph pocket watches.

Condition:
Sold exactly as shown in the photographs. The movement is currently out of its original case. There are age-related marks, wear and tarnishing consistent with a watch movement of this age. The enamel dial presents very well overall from the front. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
