Beautiful antique American Brilliant Period cut-glass bowl, dating approximately to the turn of the 20th century.

This highly detailed approximately 6-inch bowl features elaborate cutting including multiple hobstar/rosette motifs, deeply cut radiating fans, geometric cross-cutting and a distinctive square central hobstar design.

The perimeter is finished with an ornate sawtooth edge, creating exceptional sparkle and light reflection.

The decoration has deep, sharp V-shaped cuts and finely worked cross-cut areas consistent with cut glass rather than ordinary molded pressed glass. The piece also produces a clear, prolonged ring when gently tapped.

Details:

The combination of hobstars, fans, geometric cutting and sawtooth edging is characteristic of American Brilliant Period cut glass.

No manufacturer's signature has been located. Although the pattern shares characteristics with work produced by prominent American cutting houses of the period, the maker is being left unidentified rather than making an unsupported attribution.

Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition. Photos are considered part of the description.

A beautiful example of turn-of-the-century American cut glass with exceptionally intricate cutting for its approximately 6-inch size.
