Natural and untreated Sunstone gemstone originating from Oregon USA. This weighs 3.15 CTS and has been cut and faceted into a trillion shape. The measurements are approximately 10 x 10 x 6.5 mm.

The stone has a bright, almost blinding aventurescent effect, displaying a gorgeous shimmering metallic sheen that can be seen on multiple angles. The German people have termed this optical effect "Schiller" and is caused by perfectly aligned copper inclusions within the gemstone. The color of the piece is quite attractive, being a vibrant reddish orange shade.

Unlike more common opaque examples of sunstone, this is a higher grade piece that is fully transparent and displays an amazing clarity for a sunstone. There are no major flaws and only slight natural inclusions. This can be considered eye clean or VVS clarity.
