Four top-ranking officers—a Major-General and three Brigadiers—end up stranded deep behind enemy lines in the unforgiving North African desert, surrounded by the Afrika Korps.

With the enemy closing in, the brass must entrust their lives to an unlikely saviour: low-ranking Lance-Corporal Dusty Rhodes. Reversing every rule in the book, the elite generals find themselves forced to follow the orders of a humble corporal if they want to survive the brutal trek back through no-man's-land.
