u-he Repro - Repro-1 and Repro-5 Analog Synth Plugins (Activation Card)

Repro is two synthesizers in one purchase, and both are circuit level recreations rather than sample based imitations. Repro-1 is the monophonic sequencer synth, Repro-5 is the five voice polysynth, and between them they cover the two most recognisable American analog voices of the late seventies and early eighties.

u-he modelled these by simulating the actual circuits, component by component, which is why they behave the way hardware behaves. Filters self-oscillate and go unstable where they should. Envelopes have the same snap. Push the drive and it distorts the way an overloaded analog path distorts rather than clipping into digital harshness.

Repro-1 adds what the original hardware lacked. A Tweaks page exposes component tolerances, drift and feedback so you can go from factory fresh to badly serviced, and an expanded 16-step sequencer and arpeggiator sit alongside it. Repro-5 brings unison, a proper polyphonic voice card model and voice detune that is genuinely per voice.

Both share a built-in effects rack: distortion, chorus, delay and reverb, so a patch is finished inside the plugin. The library runs to well over a thousand presets across the two instruments.
