The second edition appears to be new old stock/open box (*not punched but becoming separated/unplayed) and in EX condition (please see images and make your own grade accordingly). 1st edition is used (punched/played) and in VG condition (see images). Packaging shows minor signs of shelf/storage wear.

* Not sure if the battle area markers in 2nd edition were punched or are just coming loose in the box from age. 1st edition loose pieces will be bagged or wrapped for shipping.
