Altered è un gioco di carte collezionabili per due giocatori in cui ognuno gestisce il proprio mazzo legato a una specifica fazione e guidato da una carta eroe.
Ogni giocatore guiderà due spedizioni per esplorare le terre che circondano Asgartha.
Una spedizione sarà guidata dall’ eroe, rappresentato dall'indicatore spedizione dell'eroe, mentre l'altra sarà guidata dal suo compagno, rappresentato dall'indicatore spedizione del compagno.
Nel corso della partita, le spedizioni procederanno l'una verso l'altra con l’obbiettivo di far incontrare l’eroe con il suo compagno prima dell'avversario.
Altered: Oltre i Cancelli contiene più di 500 carte giocabili (carte uniche escluse). Per cominciare a giocare è necessario avere un mazzo iniziale (starter deck).
Ogni booster pack darà la possibilità di ampliare la propria collezione con carte rare, potenti e a volte perfino uniche!
Questa Esclusiva Edizione Kickstarter è in assoluto la prima stampa del gioco, e il contenuto è nettamente superiore a quello del regolare box di espansione: esce a fine luglio invece che settembre, contiene 37 buste invece di 36, ogni busta contiene 13 carte invece di 12, le carte eroe sono sempre foil, la chance di trovare una carta unica sale a 16,7% per busta invece di 12,5%, c'è la possibilità di trovare delle carte con art speciale esclusive di questa edizione Kickstarter, e ogni carta presenta in basso a sinistra un simbolo che la contraddistingue dalle carte che usciranno poi ristampate a settembre.
E non è finita qui, 1 busta Kickstarter ogni 250 conterrà tutte carte uniche al suo interno!
Ogni booster pack Kickstarter contiene 13 carte:
- 1 carta eroe foil
- 8 carte comuni
- 4 carte rare, con una probabilità del (16,7%) che una carta rara sia sostituita da una carta unica.
- Sarà inclusa anche una carta non giocabile tra: una pedina, una Convergenza Mana, un foiler comune, un foiler raro o un foiler unico.

Altered is a collectible card game for two players in which each player manages their own deck linked to a specific faction and guided by a hero card.
Each player will lead two expeditions to explore the lands surrounding Asgartha.
One expedition will be led by the hero, represented by the hero expedition indicator, while the other will be led by his companion, represented by the hero expedition indicator companion's expedition.
During the game, the expeditions will proceed towards each other with the aim of making the hero meet his companion before the opponent.
Altered: Beyond the Gates contains more than 500 playable cards (excluding unique cards). To start playing you need to have an initial deck (starter deck).
Each booster pack will give you the opportunity to expand your collection with rare, powerful and sometimes even unique cards!
