This is a Leica SF 58 shoe-mount electronic flash unit featuring an LCD screen, physical control buttons and a hot shoe base.

It is designed for Leica camera systems (M and R series) to provide dedicated TTL flash metering and high guide-number performance.

It includes a secondary sub-flash, a motorized zoom reflector and an integrated wide-angle diffuser panel.

It is being listed as 'For Parts Or Not Working' spares / repairs as it does not power-up with batteries. I have tried 4 AA batteries and nothing happened after switching it on. I left the unit switched on for a further 30 minutes to see if it would power-up, but unfortunately nothing happened.

The unit is in good cosmetic condition apart from it not powering-up. Please see photographs of the battery compartment for a closer inspection. I suspect the previous owner may not have removed the batteries which may have leaked and damaged the connectors.

Numbered: 061983 and comes with its original Leica carry case with belt loop on the back.
