This dolly is engineered with integrated mounting holes designed for the standard Tamiya two‑axle leaf‑spring suspension setup. Builders may use OEM Tamiya suspension components or choose from several printable alternatives available on Thingiverse.
The dolly also accepts the Tamiya fifth wheel, its associated mounting hardware, and the release mechanism. Additional scale details—such as rectangular taillight lenses from Tamiya flatbed kits or mudflaps—can be added for enhanced realism.
To complete assembly, you will need commonly used RC hardware:
4mm battery bullet connectors for securing the front tongue
3mm screws (standard across Tamiya truck kits)
Wood‑thread screws for the rear bumper and top plate, which thread directly into the frame rails
Recessed locations for flanged lock nuts compatible with Tamiya hardware
These items are not included with the printed dolly kit.
The tongue is designed to work with the RC4WD pintle hook mount, offering a realistic U.S.‑style towing appearance. This is a fixed‑position tongue and does not hinge from the frame rails.
