Absolutely fabulous and rare piece from TUTUVI, made by Hawaii-based screenprint and fabric artist Colleen Kimura*. This style dress is no longer offered. The fabric name is Lau in mustard, which has speckles throughout, with oversized leaves in orange and an ethnic pattern in tan and magenta. Tag size XXL, cotton, gentle cycle, air dry. Comfortable shift style, gentle A-line silhouette, extended cap sleeves with inset, hidden side seam pockets, below knee length. Unique feature is the asymmetrical neckline in front and back, with the front having the fold-down triangle. Never worn, excellent condition. Review all 17 photos to fully appreciate.
*Colleen Kimura, fabric artist, uses bold colors and large-scale illustrations of Pacific flora and fauna. Starting out, her goal was to make comfortable garments for local wear in Pacific island prints. Each design was a new project and she focused on them one at a time. Tutuvi is a Fijian word meaning "to wrap oneself up".
