This vintage Hungarian Kalocsa embroidery Richelieu lace folk costume waistcoat vest dates from the 1950s. It is handmade of a white Richelieu lace whitework drawn thread cutwork scrolling spiral floral leaf decorative designs with connecting thread bars brides fabric and Kalocsa embroidery multicolored raised padded satin stitch hand embroidered flowers. This beautiful Bohemian traditional Hungarian folk costume waistcoat vest has a sleeveless short cropped top style with an open front, no closure and is sheer, unlined. The top measures 18 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 36 inch waist and 13 inch back. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of traditional Hungarian folk costume wearable art!
