Up for sale is an authentic, highly collectible 1934 pre-war Lionel No. 1100 Mickey Mouse Clockwork Handcar wind-up toy. This iconic piece of toy history famously helped save the Lionel Corporation from bankruptcy during the Great Depression!
Features & Condition Details:
- Mechanical Status: TESTED & WORKING! When wound, the internal clockwork motor spins nicely and the internal bell dings clearly. No key is included.
- Figures: Features the original Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse composition figures. Both heads, ears, and hands are fully intact with beautiful vintage character.
- Mounting Tabs: Please note that the small metal tabs securing the orange metal legless bases to the red chassis have loosened over time, causing the figures to sit slightly loose/unattached tilted on the frame. This is very common for this 92-year-old toy and does not affect the arm pump movement.
- Body: The red metal housing shows typical paint scuffs, light surface oxidation, and wear consistent with a genuine, untreated 1930s childhood toy.
Please study all high-resolution photos carefully to inspect the exact cosmetic condition before buying or bidding.
