Shake the paint bottle thoroughly before use. Pour undiluted paint directly into your airbrush for spraying.
Spray in multiple thin coats under air pressure of 0.1MPa ~ 0.2MPa.
After finishing spraying, leave the workpiece at room temperature (25°C) for around 30 minutes until the paint film cures completely.
Important Notes
The more coats you apply with DD Series paints, the deeper the color will be. Adjust the number of coats freely to achieve your desired saturation.
DD Series paint can be wiped off with alcohol or X20 solvent. If you plan hand-brushing or panel lining over the DD coating, you must first seal the surface with clear gloss varnish as an isolation layer before subsequent operations.
Strong airbrush cleaner (Purple Label) is recommended for cleaning tools after using DD Series paint.
Reference Swatch Samples Explanation
Sample 1 (Official Render): Plated silver base — the recommended undercoat for DD Series. It delivers the best mirror metallic effect on test spoons.
Sample 2 (Official Render): Black base — for reference of hiding power, metallic texture and transparency.
Sample 3 (Official Render): White base — for reference of color chroma and brightness.
Standard Operation Process for Sample 1 (Optimal Mirror Metallic Finish)
Base coat: Apply MT.01 Plated Silver over BC.01X Pure Black Mirror Primer to create a reflective metallic underlayer.
Spray DD Series transparent color coats on top.
Seal the finished paint film with SG.01 X Gloss Varnish or SG.06 Silicone-Based Gloss Varnish to boost gloss up to mirror finish.
