Description

Vintage Bergheil SPORTA piton / climbing hardware.

This piece is marked “Bergheil SPORTA” and appears to be a vintage Japanese alpine climbing item.

Bergheil is known among Japanese mountaineering collectors, especially in connection with classic ice axes and alpine tools from the postwar Japanese mountaineering era.

The item has a beautiful aged brass-tone patina and a very nice vintage atmosphere.

A red cord is attached as shown in the photos.
