Made in 1967 in New York by the Multivox Corporation of America, this exceptionally rare Premier 100R "Custom" tube combo amplifier is a stunning, gig-ready mid-century survivor. This model features the premium factory "Custom" faux-wood grain cabinet wrap, beautifully accented by its incredibly distinctive, original royal purple plush grill cloth. Under the hood, it remains wonderfully authentic, sporting its original 12-inch Jensen C12R "Special Design" Ceramic speaker (stamped with date code 220721 for mid-May 1967) which yields the sparkling, chimey highs and warm, smoky tube overdrive prized by vintage tone purists. Cosmetically, this amplifier is in great vintage condition showing a few minor nicks in the wood grain cabinet wrap and some honest historical wear. Reflecting its age, there is a small opening fray in the purple grill cloth on the top right edge, along with some typical minor deterioration of the vintage internal particle board paneling directly underneath. However, the outer cabinet housing itself remains structurally rock-solid with no cracks or splits. This minor localized edge wear is a highly common cosmetic trait for original 1960s Multivox builds and does not affect the structural integrity or sonic resonance of the enclosure. Functionally, this unit has recently been fully bench-serviced by a professional technician to ensure optimal operating voltages, quiet idling, and peak performance.
