Proudly presenting this vintage CT Carter Tools No. 12 plumb bob, made in Australia from solid brass with an original pointed steel tip. The body is formed in a distinctive conical shape and retains visible machining marks and an aged brass surface. Clearly stamped with the CT maker's mark and No. 12, confirming its Carter manufacture.
The conical form is less commonly encountered among surviving CT Carter plumb bobs, with the more familiar examples generally displaying a rounded turnip-shaped body. The original threaded line-retaining fitting remains present.
The brass displays an aged surface with tonal variation, scratches and signs of previous working use. The original steel tip and threaded fitting are intact.
