• FERRARI AND MASERATI SHARE THIS PART. The F136 V8 was jointly developed by Ferrari and Maserati, so the same starter carries a single 180169 number across both marques — Ferrari parts catalogues list 180169 against Maserati chassis and vice versa
• Ferrari uses a flat-plane crankshaft and Maserati a cross-plane crankshaft in the F136, but the starter is common to both
• Both Denso numbers 228000-9970 and 228080-9970 appear against 180169 and are covered
• 000180169 is the same Ferrari number written with leading zeros
• Solenoid failure is the common failure mode on these units — confirm whether your fault is the solenoid or the motor before ordering a complete starter
• NOT for Ferrari 360 Modena or 355 — those use the earlier F131 / F129 engines with a different starter
• NOT for Ferrari 458, 488 or California — later F136F / F154 engines use different starters
• NOT for Maserati Ghibli, Levante or Quattroporte VI — those use the later F160 / VM engines
