Antique Brussels Princess Applique Duchesse Bobbin Lace Neck Scarf Sash

This Edwardian era antique Brussels princess applique Duchesse bobbin lace neck scarf sash dates from 1910. It is made of an off white ivory fancy princess Brussels Duchesse bobbin lace assembled with appliqued filmy linen stitch, half stitch veined leaves with raised oversewn bundles of threads, rosette flower spirals joined by braided plaits sewn onto a sheer mesh net fabric. This lovely lace long lappet collar neck scarf, head scarf, belted tie sash dress trim has decorative applique trimmed ends, side edgings, is sheer unlined and measures 72 inches long, 8 inches wide. It is in good condition, has not been cleaned with a few faint tiny age spot stains, pin holes and a small fray along the side edging trim (see close-ups). Perfect for upcycling. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique lace wearable art!
