Vintage SIMOND Super E ice axe with a wooden shaft.
The metal head is marked “Simond Super E” in an attractive period script.
According to the previous owner, this ice axe was used only twice for mountaineering approximately 45 years ago and was then carefully stored at home for many years.
It retains its classic wooden shaft, red wrist leash and leather protective pick cover.
The dark wooden shaft and traditional head design give this piece an attractive vintage mountaineering appearance.
It would make an interesting collectible or display piece for enthusiasts of vintage SIMOND climbing equipment, classic ice axes and Eispickel.

Pre-owned vintage item.
There are scratches, scuffs, stains, discoloration, oxidation and other age-related wear from use and long-term storage.
The leather protective cover also shows age and wear.
