Edwardian White Batiste Guipure Bedfordshire Bobbin Lace Trim Middy Blouse

This antique Edwardian era white batiste Guipure Bedfordshire bobbin lace trim middy blouse dates from 1910. It is made of a sheer white cotton batiste fabric, with drawn thread cutwork, pleated details and Guipure Bedfordshire bobbin lace plaited picots connecting bars tallies trim edging the front neckline, collar, cuffs. This lovely lace shirtwaist blouse has a short middy crop top style with a sailor back flap collar, a squared front neckline, 3/4 length long full sleeves, snap closures along the front side, some sewn around the waistband to attach to a skirt at one time and is sheer, unlined. The top measures 16 inches long, with a 38 inch chest, 24 inch waist and 19 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent clean condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
