| Description: | This 25 Rubles bank note (Pyatakov note) was issued in Russian Soviet Federal Socialist Republic (R.S.F.S.R.) in 1918. Pick #90. Obverse: Brownish red print on light brown underprint. Ornamental borders with serials on top left and bottom right corners. Inscriptions: "Государственный кредитный билет" (Government credit note), "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (Twentyfive rubles) and "Кредитные билеты размѣниваются Государственнымъ Банкомъ на золотую монету безъ ограниченiя суммы и обезпечиваются всѣм достоянiемъ Государства." (Credit notes are exchanged by the state bank for gold coin without limitation of sum and are backed by government property). Signatures: Georgiy Pyatakov (manager) and Heinich de-Millo (cashier). Serial: AA-002. Reverse: Dark purple print on light brown underprint. Ornamental borders with coat-of-arms of Russian Empire without imperial crown at center and "25 РУБЛЕЙ" for denomination in every corner. Inscription under the coat-of-arms "ПОДДѢЛКА КРЕДИТНЫХЪ БИЛЕТОВЪ ПРЕСЛѢДУЕТСЯ ПО ЗАКОНУ." (Forgery of credit notes is punishable by law.) Measurements: 132 x 83 mms (1"=25.4 mms). Pick #90. |
