• SANDMAN Gallery Kieth/Gaiman Signed Edition SIGNED NUMBERED GRAPHITTI BOOKS #V
    Description

WAREHOUSE FIND! The original art that brought the writings of Neil Gaiman to comics life. Clocking in at 272-pages — and weighing nearly 12 pounds! — this is one of the largest Gallery Editions ever published. It includes the artwork by Sam Kieth from The Sandman #1, P. Craig Russell’s The Dream Hunters, selected pages from The Sandman #2-75, and the entire six-page story Death: A Winter’s Tale by Jeff Jones! Printed at 200 line-screen on heavy paper-stock, each page and cover in this volume was scanned in full-color to show every nuance, every detail, and truly capture the original art experience. Never before has artwork by so many different top talents in comics been seen in this format. Artist Mike Dringenberg also contributes to Kieth’s work in issue #1, and there is also work from Charles Vess, Kelley Jones, Michael Zuili, Marc Hempel, Brian Talbot, Jill Thompson, John Watkiss, Shawn McManus and Jon J. Muth in a 78-page section showcasing assorted pages from throughout the Sandman run.

This deluxe Gallery Edition also features transparent overlays on several pages where text or dialogue boxes were added separate from the artwork. The book itself measures 13″ x 20″ and comes in a debossed slipcase with a debossed, taped spine. It comes signed by author/creator Neil Gaiman and artist Sam Kieth and is limited to 200 copies.

Graphitti Designs has long been a publisher of unique and limited edition large-format hardcover books collecting noteworthy series or the combined works of some of the industry’s most popular creators. Many of these limited-edition volumes sold for many years, and many of them are no longer available. But we recently discovered through our friend Bob Chapman at Graphitti that there were also some very limited versions of these books, that were only available through their website. These volumes are super limited (only 100 to 250 copies each) and are each signed by the artist (or writer in some cases). We’re very excited to offer these limited-edition books for the first time to our customers and collectors!

NOTE: This is the same book and contents as the Russell/Gaiman Gallery Edition, but this one is signed by Kieth and Gaiman.
