POST WAR LACE & CHIFFON vintage 1940s 50s A-Line PARTY COCKTAIL DRESS - S

Beautiful late 1940s / early 1950s vintage elbow length sleeved party dress made of a sheer cotton lace paired with a sheer chiffon all layered overtop an satiny acetate in soft muted earthtone shades.  The dress features a fitted lace bodice with a round neck opening, darted bust and a nipped waist.  The attached chiffon skirt is a swingy A-line cut with crisp pleat detail below the waist and a knee length hem.  The dress closes at the back with a metal zipper. 

 MEASUREMENTS:   No  labels ... the bust measures 36 inches (therefore fits a size 32 - 34 bust best), the waist  measures 26 inches  and the  hips are 48 inches. There is no stretch to the fabric ... as always, remember to leave room for you when using these measurements to determine fit.  The dress is 40 inches in length.

CONDITION:   Very slight wear ... overall,  excellent condition.

All of my items are vintage and therefore will have some minimal signs of wear consistent with their age (example - a loose thread).  I describe my items as honestly and accurately as possible with both text and pictures - clearly noting any known larger imperfections (holes, stains, missing buttons, etc).  If I have missed something, I apologize - please let me know and I will do my best to fix the issue.  But please remember I am a human being.  My preloved items have been freshly laundered unless otherwise noted in the description.
