Again, we saw a box that originally came packed with 24 of these bottles. The box listed the contents as just what this bottle claims but also had printed on it in large letters "24 - 4 ounce (Empty) Upjohn Cheracol Empty Collector's Bottles Sample Bottles". In the box there was still a few of these bottles in pristine sparkling clean condition, all containing their original corks, but with NO contents, they were never filled. So I take that to mean that they were sold to pharmacists and drug stores as display bottles for an advertising display. Some even have the "M" in a circle, trade mark of the Maryland Glass Company I believe, the company that was formed by Mr. Bromo Seltzer himself (Emerson) to make his bottles since no other glass house could keep up with the demand for his bottles. Again, this is a cork-top bottle with the full label and the bottle is empty, so the age coincides with the Bromo Selter bottles as well. A great looking bottle in excellent clean condition, check it out!
