Vintage item. I did wash it one time and I dried it and it doesn't stink or have any weird smells. But I didn't do any kind of intense stain fighting, cleaning scrubbing or anything like that. So the item does have some spots, some smudges and some dirt all over it. It needs a good good cleaning, but if you go through and do your good cleaning and you're staying fighting, I think this canvas bag will turn out really nice
