Sony Walkman WM‑EX651 – Fully Serviced & Working – Portable Cassette Player
This unit has been carefully serviced to ensure stable playback.
The rubber belt has been replaced with a high‑quality new belt.
The original belt was removed cleanly with no melted residue left inside.
One pinch roller had a dent, so it was replaced with a roller from a donor unit of the same model.
The head, capstan, and pinch rollers were cleaned using professional cleaning solution, and the head was demagnetized.
I compared a prerecorded cassette tape with a YouTube music video played simultaneously and adjusted the playback speed. It cannot be perfectly matched, but it is set as close as possible.
Playback, stop, fast‑forward, and rewind all work properly.
No scratch noise (“gari”) from the volume knob.
Sound output depends on the condition of the cassette tape. Some tapes may not play cleanly or may have sections that do not sound perfect. Please understand this before purchasing.
Please check the photos for the exterior condition. This is a vintage device, so unexpected issues may occur over time.
No accessories included. Gum battery is not included. Please prepare one separately (available on Amazon, etc.).
