Installation Guide

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Take off the intake hose, mass airflow sensor, and air filter.
  3. Loosen the belt tensioner.
  4. Remove the belt from the pulley.
  5. Loosen and remove the alternator.
  6. Remove dust and oil from the installation position.
  7. Install the new alternator.
  8. Replace the bolts, and reattach all connections.
  9. Reinstall the belt.
  10. Connect the intake hose and reinstall the mass airflow sensor.
  11. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Noise Troubleshooting

When the Alternator Makes Noise

  • Noise during speed change: Check the alternator belt first, adjust or replace it if needed.
  • Noise from front/rear: May be caused by bearing lubrication issues. Inspect or replace the bearing.
  • Middle noise with vibration: Possible friction between stator and rotor. Disassemble for adjustment or replacement.
