He won the Heisman in a landslide, was first-team All-American, and became the face of Naval Academy football for a generation. Then he went to Vietnam. By the time he got to Dallas he was 27 years old — and he still won two Super Bowls, became an icon, and built a Hall of Fame career that defined what it meant to be a Cowboy.
