This listing is for VINE MICRO's 'REPLAY' device for the BBC Micro MODEL B with a 1770 Floppy Disc Controller ( FDC ). It will NOT work with the standard 8271 FDC!

It can be used to effortlessly transfer tape based games to disk - no hacking required to remove the tape protection. It can also be used to 'stop and save' at any point whilst playing a game so that you can resume at a later time.

The box says 'R1770A Solidisk Iss.2 Acorn 1770 and ADFS'. Your Model B needs to match this disc interface specification.

This appears to be the original Mark 1 device which was designed ONLY for the original BBC Micro Model B. I'm almost certain it will NOT work on a Model B+ or the Master 128 / Compact.

I have been unable to test this as my BBC Micros all have an Intel 8271 FDCs so it is sold as spare parts / for repair ONLY. NO Returns.

It's still in its original retail box as shown and appears to be in good condition - no manuals included, but fitting instructions are available on-line, NO soldering required.

I've looked at the EPROM and header socket pins and they are all intact - see photos.

Please view all of the photos as these are an important part of the description and show the overall condition and provide additional detail for the item that is for sale.
