Description – OEM Hill Rom – Not poor knock-offs. The 49174 pedal pad stretches over the structural brake/steer metal weldment located at the base of the stretcher or bed. It provides a high-friction, rubberized grip for a caregiver's foot to safely activate the equipment's central locking, braking, and steering mechanism. Pressing this pedal engages the central caster system to change modes between steering (aligning the 5th wheel caster), neutral (free movement), and brake (locking all casters).
