Antique porcelain plate from the famous Kuznetsov factory, produced at the Budy (Budyansk) factory in the Kharkov Governorate (Russian Empire).

This is a beautiful and rare сюжетная (scenic) plate, featuring a detailed hand-painted countryside landscape with figures, trees, and a house. The composition is framed by a soft blue gradient rim, giving it a very elegant and collectible appearance.

The reverse bears the authentic Kuznetsov factory mark.

Historical Background:

The plate was produced by the “Partnership for Production of Porcelain, Faience and Majolica Products of M. S. Kuznetsov”, one of the largest ceramic manufacturers in the Russian Empire in the late 19th – early 20th century.

Founded in 1887 by Matvey Sidorovich Kuznetsov, the company united multiple factories, including the Budy faience factory in the Kharkov region.
