1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 4.0 Straight 6 Petrol engine with 5 speed manual transmission. South African RHD import, ideal running Restoration project 

Very hard to find these shape Landcrusiers in any shape - now hugely popular in the USA 🇺🇸 will very soon be Mot and Tax exempt in the uk I believe. 

Starts runs and drives - engine sounds well really raspy, clutch and gearbox all works ok. Free wheeling front hubs that are free. Most the electrics seem to work including heater blower although horn isn’t working at present. It has AC (actually has 2 AC pumps although 1 isn’t plumbed in) brakes are good. It does however have a really bad vibration when driven anything over 20mph feels horrendous- I’ve not investigated but my gut feeling says possibly a seized prop UJ or something like that? 

Over all not a bad looking car, no signs of accident damage. Underside is really really good - chassis nice and clean and straight floors and arch tubs etc all look sound and original, the worst part I would say is the roof gutter areas all round and the door bottoms - think these are usual FJ rot areas. There is a little rot either end of the front bullhead outside of the bonnet hinges - again quite common. The main bulkhead is really solid and original. 

Interior is in fairly decent condition seats presentable with a few small rips, headlining and door cards are all in tact. Dash board has an over cover on - presumably cracked underneath from the sun.
