Vintage hand-carved wooden tribal figure in the traditional Papua New Guinea Sepik style.

This expressive carving features exaggerated facial features, painted decoration, elongated proportions and a classic standing pose commonly associated with Sepik River region carvings. Hand carved from a single piece of timber and finished with hand-painted details in black, red and cream tones.

The exact age, maker and provenance are unknown, therefore it is being sold as a Papua New Guinea Sepik style carving rather than an authenticated ethnographic artifact.
