I bought this all original case used in the 70’s. Fender first produced the black Tolex covered cases in 1963. They changed slightly over the years and added a logo first in plastic and then upgraded to metal attached to outside front of case. Also the interior color and felt lining was changed slightly to a darker red color and added padding. This case has a red velvet lining and corner pads.

The handle is intact. There is wear and tear on the exterior which you can see in photos. All hardware is rusted but doesn’t effect operation. The latches could benefit from lubrication but both springs work on the two latches.

 All over this case is in good shape!
