Estate found. This is a British formation sign (patch). I have seen this patch listed as a Royal Marine Commando patch and a Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) London District patch. I am not a British collector, but it is listed as the latter on a few sites, so I went with that identification. This is a WWII example. Used, but very good condition.
