Krokodil (Крокодил, "The Crocodile") was the main satirical magazine of the Soviet Union, published in Moscow by the Pravda Publishing House from 1922 until the 1990s. It came out three times a month and reached millions of readers.
Each issue is filled with political caricature, cartoons and satirical illustrations — mocking bureaucracy, Western politics and everyday Soviet life. The artwork by the leading Soviet cartoonists of the era makes these issues collectible in their own right, and a primary source on how the USSR portrayed itself and the world.
Condition is described per issue. Pages may show age-related toning typical of Soviet newsprint. Photos show the actual item you receive.
