Proposed Shaker Heights Recreation Center. Million Dollar recreation center will b built in Shaker Heights if voters approve a bond issue on the November balot. Included on the 14-acre, city-owned site would be a 75-by-165 ft. pool, a children's pool, ice-skating rink, tennis courts and bathhouse. Entrances to parking areas would be from Warrensville Center and Farnsleigh Roads. Trees and shrubs would shield area from Almar and Somerset Road homes. A model of the recreation center, prepared by Dalton & Dalton, architects, is now on display in Shaker City Hall. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo Is dated 1957.
